About us
Welcome to our cattery. I have been breeding cats for 17 years. I am a Registered breeder with CatsWA in Western Australia which is affiliated with the Australian Cat Federation.
I started my journey with Burmese as I loved their inquisitive and loving natures. They truly are the larrikins of the cat world with lots of love to give their family. Fifteen years ago I met the stunning Burmilla when a boy came to stay with us while his family was on holidays. Jewel was every bit as enchanting as the Burmese but with a more gentle nature and of course that stunning silver coat and emerald green eyes. This began my journey as an experimental breeder of Burmilla.
At the time there were very few breeders working with the Burmilla in Australia so I had to start my program from the beginning, a mating between a Chinchilla and a Burmese. I also started the process to import two Burmillas from the Nemorez Cattery in the UK. Never did I expect this journey to be so long and difficult!
Today we have generation 5, 6 and 7 Burmillas in all colours including the red and cream. Whilst I specialise in short hair I do have the occasional semi long hair litter.
Seven years ago I started to breed the beautiful Australian Bombay. Once again this was an experimental breed and even today there are only a handful of breeders in Australia. This program whilst not as complicated as the Burmilla was quite controversial. In 2014 the Australian Cat Federation renamed the Australian Bombay to the Mandalay and expanded the allowable colours. These beautiful sleek coated cats have the loving personality of the Burmese with perhaps just a bit more attitude!
Please enjoy visiting the cats on this site and contact me is you have any questions or wish to purchase a kitten for your family. This is a hobby, albeit a very busy one, not a business. We love all of our cats and only sell kittens to indoor only homes or those with an enclosed safe outside area. Legislators are moving towards containment laws for cats so it is best that your new family member get used to not roaming and getting into trouble with angry neighbours or dogs.
